December can be a busy month – celebrating holidays, organizing and planning for the new year or finding time to decompress. December 24 – 31 I found myself busy with other responsibilities besides just making art. I did find at least 10 minutes per day to create small collages in my 5” square collage art journal. These collage sessions gave me the opportunity to play and explore. I didn’t overthink the colors combination, composition, or materials selection. I hope this video inspires or encourages you to make time for art.
FYI - Sections of each collage session was edited out or sped up for this completed video to avoid dead air while gluing the collage paper off camera or watching me slowly marking the page with a pastel crayon.

In this video, I show how I created my new daily collages. This time I created in two different collage art journals – 5” square and approximately 7”x10” repurposed encyclopedia. This is a long video! I provided timestamps below if you want to skip around.
Side note: collage 5 is a hot mess! I decided to keep the footage to share that not every collage works out the way I had planned.
