You can read about this self imposed daily collage challenge here. If you want to learn about collages, Nita Leland has a fantastic book called "New Creative Collage Techniques". I have it on my personal bookshelf when I need some help with my collages.

Collage #1

I've been inspired by collage recently but haven't been able to sit down and re-explore this art form. One of the collage artists that I recently discovered is Eunice Parsons. I know I a bit late in the game to discover this 98 year old artist.

A few weeks ago, an artist friend gave me half of her handmade and decorative papers stash. I've been drooling over it since I brought them home but haven't digged in. Then last week another artist friend and I got together to caught up and show what we have been working on. She brought her collage sketchbook. It was small, spiral bound sketchbook that keeps her daily made collages.

I decided to create small collages on a daily basis for 30 days. A self imposed challenge. I like short term goals these days. I will keep the process loose. Quick (less than 30 minutes each) collage "sketches". No judgement or over thinking the process. There will be some duds along the way and that's okay.
