I created 2 separate paintings. The first one has blue and green acrylic paint loosely applied on heavy watercolor paper then heavily splattered orange acrylic on top. The second has orange, red and yellow acrylic paint loosely applied on heavy watercolor paper then heavily splattered white acrylic paint on top. After the paint dried, I laid one of the painted papers on top of other and cut diagonal lines to create random sized triangles. Initially, I was going to attached the pieces together but I like the look of the orange ground peeking through. I glued the painted triangles with Yes Paste.
Thanks for stopping by!
The colors on this work really well together and letting the orange frame each triangle makes for a great composition.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Linda! I'm continually having a fun with these small collages.
