Beyond the Edge Fiber Artists "Textile Translations"

I'm honored and excited to have my artwork in Beyond the Edge Fiber Artists' "Textile Translations" exhibit at Rancho Buena Vista Adobe gallery. One of my pieces in this show will be from the "Put A Bird On It" exhibit.

"Bird Removal" artist statement:

Pages from "To Kill A Mockingbird" and "Bye, Bye Birdie" were laminated onto tea stained silk organza. The final step was to cut out the shape of one bird flying away to emphasize the title, "Bird Removal".

    Love this very creative approach to the theme of "Put a Bird on It" work. Was thrilled that the group chose my very small piece with a similar bird on it to hang next to yours. It's a great show. Others of your works were also hung in the show and they really popped against the white walls.

      Thank you, Linda! I'm thrilled that your very small piece with a similar bird on it was hung next to mine. The photos that Teresa Shippy took and posted on Facebook show an amazing exhibit. I'm happy that my other 2 pieces worked within the exhibit.
