Collage #44 is an example of the traditional cruciform design. I like the contrast between the washy ground with straight edge paper. This collage could have been pushed further by adding more papers and paint but I like the simplicity.
Not only do the colors and design play well together but, BONUS!, it became interactive for me. I found myself turning my head to read the print and also wondering what the bar codes denoted. So not only were the eyes and sense of balance involved but the brain was actively also involved. It's a rarity, indeed, when so many of the senses are working together.
Thank you for commenting, Linda. I pulled out all the reply mail cards from my magazines because I liked the weight of the paper and the barcodes. I thought it would make a nice visual on a collage. I'm glad you were actively involved when viewing this collage.
