I've been collecting cancelled postage stamps for a while. I wasn't sure how I was going to use them but I collected them anyway. Sounds familiar to anyone? Collage #68 started out with a light to dark layout. I couldn't get the stamps in the right position so it's a modify ombre layout. Your eye still moves around the page. I'm happy with this bright, structured design.

Collage #67
Okay, I have to admit Collage #67 was forced. Maybe it's the colors are too pale for my taste. Maybe the layout isn't as thought out as it could be. Maybe I'm just tired. I'm trying not to over think it. The collage was made in less than 30 minutes.

Collage #66
With Collage #66, I was trying to channel collage artist, Eunice Parsons. I'm not sure it's as good as her collages but I'm trying to stretch myself again.

Collage #65
My good friend, Linda Friedman, gave me an used envelope that she thought I could incorporate into one of my small, quick collages. She was right!
I cut the envelope into uneven triangles. The envelope was very formal. It's a bit hard to see in the photo but it has gold accents. I liked the idea of the formal designed envelope against the neon card stock. Here is Collage #65:

"Eye of the Artist"
"Eye of the Artist"
"An artistic eye is unique to each individual artist.
The subject matter is created from the artist’s life experiences, their
artistic style, and how they see the world. The fiber art in this exhibition
shows the diversity of each artist, as seen through each artist’s eye."
Thank you, Laura, for sending me a photo of my artwork hanging in this exhibit!
