I use an original card inser...Good question, Linda. I use an original card insert from the Rolodex as the template. I cut the pellon to size first. The slots are cut using small scissors so I can get into the area. After the fabric is attached to the pellon, I use the same small scissors to cut the slots using the pellon as the guide. I hope I'm explaining it clearly.
